Cloud computing is poised to change the way we access technology— it is as game-changing as the commercialization of the Internet over a decade ago. What's more, companies that adopt cloud computing become more competitive in the marketplace, gaining frictionless workflow and greater elasticity. Collaboration is one of the first enterprise applications to make major strides in the cloud. The vendor landscape is filled with compelling and competitive platforms which CIOs are no longer able to ignore, although they must choose carefully. Selecting which partner makes most sense for your business requires a careful evaluation of all the implications that come with their collaboration adoption.

For all these reasons, the cloud collaboration wars are shaping up to be a key competitive battleground. Cloud computing providers are fortifying their positions, aiming to be one-stop shops for enterprises to shed internal infrastructure and move to online collaboration and communications.

Cloud collaboration has now expanded beyond the core of email communications to include social networking, group content creation and management, presentation sharing, project management, integrated voice and video, calendaring, scheduling and more.

Cloud Collaboration Wars will place up to four vendors head-to-head against CXOs to debate not only the benefits of collaboration in the cloud, but also the pain points of enterprise adoption. Each vendor will give a 5 minute presentation/demo of their solution, followed by an hour long panel debate guided by David Berlind, Chief Content Officer at TechWeb. The CXOs on stage will have the opportunity to ask questions and debate the topic. We'll also take live Q&A from the audience.

After the panel concludes, a cocktail reception will kick off. Each vendor will be provided with a table top set up to demo their collaboration tool. Each attendee will be encouraged to visit with each vendor, ask questions, and after about 30 minutes of networking, we'll ask the audience which vendor would best be able to solve a problem they face in their day-to-day jobs. Attendees will vote via a live text-to-vote courtesy of Mozes. The results will tabulate in real-time and the vendor with the highest percentage of votes will be crowned the Cloud Collaboration War winner.
